09/2000 � 01/2002  Research Assistant and Team Leader, Data Processing, Bioinformatics Department, Beijing Genomics Institute (BGI), CAS, Beijing, China. Mainly involved in data processing, genome assembly and annotation, and took part in the Human Genome Project, and Rice Genome Project.

02/2002 � 03/2003  Group Leader, Comparative Genomics, Bioinformatics Department, BGI, CAS, Beijing, China. Mainly involved in comparative genomics for rice subspecies, pig ESTs analysis.

03/2003 � 10/2004       System Analyst, Software Environment, Bioinformatics Department, BGI, CAS, Beijing, China. Mainly involved in the construction and management of bioinformatics software environment; SARS genomes assembly and analysis; the rice complete genome project; protein analysis in silicon.

11/2004 � 08/2005       Group Leader, Proteome Bioinformatics Group, Proteomics Department, BGI, CAS, Beijing, China. Mainly involved in the construction of the proteome bioinformatics platform, processing of mass spectrometry data, and data analysis in the Human Liver Proteomics Project.

Current research: comparative genomics among wheat, Brachypodium distachyon and rice etc.; systems biology of plant development and resistance.
