报告人简介：
Akihiro Isoda，日本千叶大学教授。曾担任国际花生研究与发展协会首席，中亚干旱区石河子农业环境研究所所长。主要研究方向为作物生理生态，在作物水分生理开展了一系列研究工作并取得了重要进展，以通讯作者于Plant Prod. Sci.、Acta Physiologiae Plantarum、Jpn. J.Crop Sci.等期刊发表论文多篇，并获日本作物学会贡献奖。
报告摘要：One of the missions of crop science is to resolve the demand for increased food production due to increasing population. Food shortages are a particularly serious problem in developing countries, and many of these countries belong to arid or semi-arid regions, so it is important to improve crop productivity with limited water resources. From this perspective, I conducted research on crop adaptation to environmental stresses such as a drought condition and improvement of crop production in arid areas, especially focusing on Shihezi in Xinjiang, China.
