Academic and Scientific Achievement
Took charge of the research programs such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National High-tech R&D Program (863 Program), the Major State Basic Research Development Program of China(973 Program), National Key Technologies R & D Program of China during the 13th Five-Year Plan Period, and International Cooperation Projects. Took part in 20 national and provincial research projects. Be in charge of developing national level varieties, including xinong 585, xinong 979, xinong 9718, xinong 2208. Eight wheat varieties of provincial level were developed, and spread to above 150 million mu. Gained 6 national and provincial-level science and technology awards and won 4 the state invention patents. Developed functional marker (PPO18) of polyphenol oxidase activity in bread wheat. And it is widely used for wheat quality improvement in the Centro Internacional de Mejoramientode Maizy Trigo(CIMMYT), Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and other institutions. Cloned polyphenol Oxidase genes( Ppo-A1、Ppo-D1 ) and TaFT in wheat.
