Notice of Academic Seminar on the Application of Spatiotemporal Genomics in Plant Research

Title: Application of Spatiotemporal Genomics in Plant Research

Date: November 6, 2023, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Venue: Lecture Hall 216,

College of Agriculture Speaker: Hu Sifan (Senior Product Manager, PacBio)

Abstract: In multicellular organisms, gene expression in individual cells occurs strictly in a specific temporal and spatial sequence, meaning that gene expression has both temporal and spatial specificity. Spatial transcriptomics is a technique that resolves RNA-Seq data with high spatial resolution, allowing the analysis of all mRNA in individual tissue sections, thereby enabling the localization and differentiation of active gene expression information within specific tissue regions. Spatial transcriptomics was recognized as the application technology of the year in Nature Methods (2020) and Nature (2022).

We welcome all teachers and students to participate!
